International Cardiovascular Research Meeting 2015

It was such a great weekend at the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz! For the eight time we had the honor of hosting prominent scientist at our conference. International cardiovascular reaserch meeting brought together such wonderful personalities as Paul Gurbel (USA), Eli Lev (Israel), Stefano di Sevi (Italy), Salvatore di Somma (Italy), Marco Cattaneo (Italy), Stan Heptinstall (UK),  Andrzej Budaj (Poland), Andrzej Kleinrok (Poland), Wojciech Wojakowski (Poland), Miłosz Jaguszewski (Germany), Rajesh Dandale (Germany),  Lech Anisimowicz (Poland), Grzegorz Grześk (Poland), Adam Sukiennik (Poland), Marek Koziński (Poland), Piotr Adamski (Poland), Małgorzata Ostrowska (Poland). We hosted researchers from eleven countries, who are leading experts in their field. Without  participation of such eminent reaserchers, who we had honor to host, this conference could not take place.

For the first time, we have organised in cooperative with GREAT Network a competition for young talents. We were so impressed with the level of presented works by young investigators. The winner of the first prize was Ernesto Rouvio from Hungary, who impressed the comittee wih his work about stem cells. The second pize was awarded to Aleksandra Brutkiewicz from the Institute of Cardiology in Warsaw, and the third prize Jakub Ratajczak from our university (we are so proud of him!), who presented a poster about percutaneous correction of mitral regurgitation using the Mitra-clip system. We would like to thank for coming to a  group of young invastigators from Lithuania. We were very impressed by their talent and enthusiasm for work.

Furthermore, we would like to thank everyone for their participation in the conference.
